Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve the understanding and character development of students at SD Negeri 13 Lubuk Alung through teaching with the Qur'an using the lecture method. The study emphasizes how integrating the Qur'an in daily learning activities can shape students' personalities and moral values. The method used in this research is a lecture, which involves delivering educational material directly to the students while emphasizing the Qur'anic teachings. The research was conducted in several cycles, and the data were collected using observation, interviews, and student assessments. The study found that the lecture method effectively increased the students' engagement with the Qur'an, providing them with better moral insights and encouraging discipline and responsibility in their behavior. This research highlights the importance of religious education in character building, especially in elementary school, where students are at a critical stage of personality development. The findings suggest that teaching with the Qur'an can serve as a foundation for nurturing values that align with the national education goals.
