Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance students' understanding of the concept of "Iman kepada Malaikat" (Belief in Angels) through the Inquiry-Based Learning model at SMP Negeri 14 Solok Selatan. The research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle involving planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The inquiry model encourages students to actively explore and investigate the topic of angels in Islam, fostering critical thinking and deep understanding. Data were collected through observations, student assessments, and reflections on their learning process. The results show that the inquiry-based approach significantly improved students' engagement with the material, as they were encouraged to ask questions, conduct research, and discuss their findings. By the end of the second cycle, students demonstrated a stronger grasp of the concept of Iman kepada Malaikat, and their ability to relate it to their daily lives had improved. This research suggests that inquiry-based learning can be an effective method for teaching Islamic studies, especially when it involves complex concepts such as belief in angels, by making learning more interactive and meaningful.
