Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance students' understanding of the concept of "Hukum Jihad" (The Law of Jihad) through the use of the Inquiry-Based Learning model at SDIT Juara Padang Panjang. The research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The inquiry model encourages students to actively explore and investigate the topic of jihad, fostering critical thinking and deeper understanding. Data were collected through observations, student assessments, and reflections on their learning process. The results indicate that the inquiry-based approach significantly improved students' engagement with the material, as they were encouraged to ask questions, conduct research, and discuss their findings. By the end of the second cycle, students demonstrated a clearer grasp of the concept of jihad and its application in Islamic teachings. This study suggests that inquiry-based learning can be an effective method for teaching Islamic studies, particularly on complex topics such as jihad, by making learning more interactive and meaningful.
