Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve students' understanding of the meaning and interpretation of Surah An-Nas through the implementation of a cooperative learning approach at UPT SDN 05 Muara Kandis. The research involves fifth-grade students and is conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. In the first cycle, students are introduced to the recitation and translation of Surah An-Nas, and in the second cycle, a more in-depth analysis of its tafsir (interpretation) is provided through group discussions. The cooperative learning approach encourages active collaboration among students, allowing them to share insights and enhance their understanding of the surah’s message. The results of this research indicate that cooperative learning significantly improves students' comprehension of Surah An-Nas, as well as their ability to reflect on its meanings in daily life. Furthermore, the students' motivation to engage in religious learning also increased. This study highlights the effectiveness of cooperative learning as a method to enhance religious education and foster better understanding among elementary school students.
