Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve students' understanding of the story of Prophet Ibrahim A.S. through the use of the lecture method at SD Negeri 01 Sioban, involving 15 students. The research is conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. In the first cycle, the teacher delivers the story of Prophet Ibrahim A.S. using a lecture approach, explaining the key lessons and moral values of the story. In the second cycle, the teacher focuses on deeper reflection and discussion, encouraging students to connect the story’s teachings to their own lives. The results indicate that the lecture method is effective in enhancing students' understanding of the story, as it allows for direct interaction with the teacher and clear explanations of the religious content. The research highlights the importance of an active teaching approach and direct engagement with the material for deeper learning. This study suggests that the lecture method can be a valuable tool in religious education, particularly in teaching historical religious stories at the elementary school level.
