Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) focuses on promoting religious tolerance among students at SMP 4 V Koto Kampung Dalam through the application of a sociocultural learning model. The research aims to foster a deeper understanding of religious diversity and tolerance by engaging students in activities that emphasize cultural and social values. The sociocultural model encourages students to reflect on their own cultural backgrounds, engage with peers from different religious beliefs, and collaborate in creating a harmonious environment. The research is conducted in cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data will be collected through observations, student reflections, and interviews to assess the effectiveness of the approach in promoting religious tolerance. Expected outcomes include an increased awareness of religious diversity, improved interpersonal relationships among students, and a more inclusive school climate. This study contributes to the broader educational goal of nurturing respectful, open-minded individuals who value diversity and harmony in their communities.
