Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance students' understanding of the concept of Iman kepada Malaikat (Faith in Angels) through the application of a cooperative learning model at SMP N 1 Tigo Nagari. The study seeks to explore how cooperative learning can foster better comprehension and active participation among students while studying religious concepts, specifically the belief in angels as outlined in Islamic teachings. The cooperative learning model encourages students to work in groups, share ideas, and engage in peer discussions, which not only deepens their understanding but also promotes teamwork and communication skills. The research follows a cyclical process consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection, with data collected through observations, student feedback, and group performance assessments. The expected outcomes include improved student engagement, better retention of religious knowledge, and enhanced collaboration skills. This study aims to provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of cooperative learning in religious education and its potential to foster a deeper connection to the material.
