Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to explore the implementation of the Discovery Learning model to enhance students' attitudes toward appreciating differences at UPT SDN 20 Koto Langang Sungai Liku. The research focuses on promoting students' awareness and understanding of the value of diversity and fostering respectful behavior in a multicultural environment. Discovery Learning encourages students to actively engage in the learning process through exploration and inquiry, which enhances their ability to reflect on the importance of respecting others' opinions, backgrounds, and cultures. The study follows a cyclical process of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting, with data collected through observations, interviews, and assessments. This research seeks to identify the effectiveness of the Discovery Learning model in developing students' social skills and values, particularly their ability to appreciate and respect differences. The expected outcome is to provide insights into how this model can contribute to character education and improve students' interpersonal relationships in diverse classrooms. Ultimately, the research aims to offer practical recommendations for educators to integrate the concept of diversity appreciation into their teaching practices more effectively.
