Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to explore the effectiveness of the Collaborative Learning model in enhancing students' understanding of Islamic teachings at UPT SDN 27 Limau Asam. The research focuses on fostering a deeper comprehension of key Islamic principles by involving students in group-based learning activities. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires to assess the students' understanding and engagement before and after the implementation of the Collaborative Learning model. The findings indicate that students showed improved understanding of Islamic teachings as they worked together in groups, exchanging ideas, discussing topics, and collaborating on learning tasks. This method helped students internalize the teachings more effectively. The research highlights the potential of Collaborative Learning to engage students actively in the learning process, promoting teamwork, critical thinking, and a better understanding of the material. The results suggest that Collaborative Learning is an effective approach for teaching Islamic subjects, encouraging active participation and enhancing students' ability to apply the teachings in their daily lives.
