Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to explore the effectiveness of the Inquiry-Based Learning model in enhancing students' understanding of the importance of being devoted to parents at SD Islam Terpadu Kautsar Ilmi Muaro Sijunjung. The study focuses on helping students develop a deeper comprehension of this core value through an interactive learning process that encourages active questioning, exploration, and reflection. The research was conducted in two cycles, each including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and surveys to assess students' engagement and understanding before and after the application of the Inquiry-Based Learning model. The results showed significant improvements in students' ability to articulate and apply the concept of devotion to parents in their daily lives. The Inquiry-Based Learning model encouraged students to think critically and explore real-life scenarios related to this value. This approach fosters deeper personal connections to the material, enhancing students’ social-emotional development. The findings suggest that Inquiry-Based Learning is an effective method for teaching values such as devotion to parents, as it stimulates curiosity and supports meaningful learning experiences.
