Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to explore the effectiveness of the Differentiated Instruction model in enhancing students' understanding of the importance of praying for others at SD Negeri 13 Limo Koto. The research focuses on tailoring teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of the students, with the goal of helping them develop a deeper understanding of the concept of prayer for others in Islam. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and surveys to assess students' engagement and understanding before and after the implementation of the Differentiated Instruction model. The results indicate significant improvements in students' understanding and application of the concept of praying for others. The model encouraged active participation, allowing students to learn in ways that matched their strengths, which contributed to a more personalized and meaningful learning experience. The findings suggest that Differentiated Instruction is an effective approach for teaching values such as praying for others, as it promotes inclusivity, engagement, and deepens students' understanding of the material.
