Abstract

This research aims to explore the application of the Cooperative Learning model in enhancing students' understanding of Islamic laws (Hukum-hukum dalam Islam) at UPT SMPN 3 IV Jurai. This study uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology, involving a group of students in two cycles. The primary objective is to determine whether Cooperative Learning can improve students' engagement, understanding, and retention of Islamic laws by fostering collaborative learning environments. The research includes planning, action, observation, and reflection stages to ensure continuous improvement in the teaching process. Data collection methods include observations, interviews, and pre- and post-test assessments. The results are expected to show that Cooperative Learning strategies, such as group discussions and collaborative activities, positively impact students' comprehension and application of Islamic laws. By involving students in group-based activities, this research seeks to create a more interactive and participatory learning experience. Ultimately, the findings of this study will contribute to enhancing teaching practices in Islamic education and highlight the effectiveness of Cooperative Learning in fostering deeper learning outcomes.
