Abstract
This study aims to explore the implementation of the Inquiry-Based Learning model in enhancing students' understanding of Cinta Tanah Air (Love for the Homeland) from the perspective of Islam at UPT SMPN 1 IV Jurai. The research uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, involving a group of students in two cycles of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The primary goal of this study is to determine whether Inquiry-Based Learning can foster critical thinking and deeper engagement, allowing students to explore and discover Islamic teachings related to nationalism and patriotism. Data is collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires administered before and after each cycle. The results are expected to show that the inquiry-based approach can encourage students to engage more actively in the learning process, leading to a greater understanding of the values of Cinta Tanah Air in the context of Islam. By promoting active learning, this research seeks to enhance students' appreciation of their national identity while connecting it with Islamic values. The findings are expected to contribute to the development of more effective teaching methods for instilling love for the country in a manner that is aligned with Islamic principles.
