Abstract
This research aims to explore the implementation of the Task-Based Learning model in enhancing students' understanding of the importance of gratitude at SMPN 1 2×11 Enam Lingkung. The study adopts the Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology, which includes two cycles of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The primary objective of this study is to determine whether Task-Based Learning can effectively foster students' awareness and practice of gratitude in their daily lives. The tasks designed in this research encourage students to reflect on the concept of gratitude and apply it through practical activities and assignments. Data collection methods include direct observations, student interviews, and pre- and post-test questionnaires to measure changes in students' attitudes and understanding. The results are expected to show that Task-Based Learning can improve students' engagement and understanding by encouraging them to connect the concept of gratitude with their personal experiences. This research will contribute to the development of effective teaching methods for instilling character education, particularly the value of gratitude, in middle school students.
