Abstract

This research aims to explore the implementation of the Inquiry-Based Learning model in enhancing students' understanding of Sunnah prayers at UPT SDN 20 Kayu Gadang, Kecamatan Sutera. The study uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology, consisting of two cycles of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The main objective is to determine whether the Inquiry-Based Learning model can improve students’ comprehension and practical application of Sunnah prayers. The inquiry process encourages students to actively explore and discover the significance, benefits, and practices of Sunnah prayers through structured activities and guided questions. Data collection methods include observations, student interviews, and pre- and post-tests to measure changes in knowledge and attitudes. The findings are expected to show that the Inquiry-Based model enhances students' engagement, critical thinking, and application of the learned concepts. This research aims to contribute to the development of effective teaching methods for religious education, particularly in helping young learners connect religious practices with their daily lives. The results of this study will also provide insights into how Inquiry-Based Learning can support students in understanding and practicing religious rituals beyond basic knowledge.
