Abstract
This research aims to explore the effectiveness of the lecture method in enhancing students' awareness of the importance of maintaining cleanliness in Islam at SDIT Ma'arif Padang Panjang. The issue of cleanliness is highly emphasized in Islamic teachings, yet many students lack awareness and practice in daily life. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted in two cycles, involving 30 students from the 4th grade. The research applied the lecture method to introduce Islamic perspectives on cleanliness, integrating religious teachings and practical tips. Data was collected through observations, questionnaires, and interviews to assess the students' understanding and practice of cleanliness. The results show a significant improvement in students' knowledge and attitudes towards cleanliness in their daily routines. This study provides valuable insights into the role of the lecture method in character-building, particularly in instilling Islamic values among young learners. It also emphasizes the importance of incorporating religious teachings in enhancing students' moral and hygienic practices.
