Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve students' understanding of Islamic Business Ethics and Economics at SMK Al Fatih Padang Tujuh Pasaman Barat through the implementation of the Cooperative Learning Model, specifically the Jigsaw type. The Jigsaw method encourages collaboration and active participation among students, making them more engaged in the learning process. This research was conducted with 30 students from the 12th grade, and the study was carried out in two cycles. In the first cycle, students were divided into small groups, each responsible for mastering a part of the material and then teaching it to their peers. The second cycle built upon the first by refining the method and adding more interactive elements, such as group discussions and presentations. Data collection methods included pre- and post-tests, observation, and interviews to assess changes in students’ understanding and attitudes towards Islamic Business Ethics and Economics. The findings indicate a significant improvement in students' comprehension and their ability to apply ethical principles in business practices according to Islamic teachings. This study highlights the effectiveness of the Jigsaw model in promoting deeper learning and collaboration, ultimately enhancing students’ understanding of complex concepts in Islamic economics.
