Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve students' understanding and application of Akhlak towards parents at UPT SMP Negeri 2 Batang Kapas through the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PBL). Akhlak towards parents is a core value in Islamic education, emphasizing respect, care, and gratitude. This study involves 30 students from grade 8, with the research conducted in two cycles. In the first cycle, students are introduced to the concept of Akhlak towards parents through lectures and discussions, followed by a project where they develop a creative representation of respect towards their parents. In the second cycle, students refine their projects, integrate feedback, and enhance their understanding through peer presentations and group discussions. Data collection includes pre- and post-assessment tests, observations, and interviews to evaluate changes in students' attitudes and behaviors. The findings indicate a significant improvement in students' understanding of Akhlak towards parents, as well as their ability to apply these values in real life. This study demonstrates that PBL is an effective method for enhancing students' character development, as it promotes active learning, collaboration, and a deeper understanding of moral values.
