Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) focuses on enhancing students' understanding of the meaning and interpretation of Surah Al-Falaq through the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) learning model at UPT SDN 14 Lubuk Aur. The study involves fifth-grade students and aims to improve their ability to comprehend and reflect on the Surah's verses. The TPS model encourages active learning by first allowing students to think individually, then pair up to discuss their thoughts, and finally share their insights with the class. This collaborative process helps deepen their understanding and allows students to express their interpretations. The research is conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection methods include observations, interviews, and assessments of students' understanding through written tests and discussions. The findings indicate that the implementation of the TPS model significantly improves students' understanding of Surah Al-Falaq’s meaning and fosters greater engagement in religious studies. The study suggests that the Think-Pair-Share model can be an effective method to enhance students' comprehension of religious texts and promote collaborative learning in primary education.
