Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to explore the role of Islam as a solution to global issues through the Inquiry-Based Learning model at SMAN 2 Basa Ampek Balai. The study focuses on how the inquiry method can enhance students' understanding of Islamic perspectives on global challenges, such as poverty, environmental degradation, and social justice, encouraging them to explore and critically engage with these issues. The research was conducted in two cycles, using pre- and post-tests, observations, and student reflections to gather data. The findings revealed that the Inquiry-Based Learning model significantly improved students' awareness and understanding of how Islamic teachings provide solutions to contemporary global issues. Students were actively engaged in discussions, where they could investigate, ask questions, and share insights related to the relevance of Islam in addressing global problems. This approach fostered critical thinking and allowed students to connect Islamic values with real-world situations. The study concludes that Inquiry-Based Learning is an effective approach for teaching students how Islam can contribute to solving global issues, while also developing their problem-solving skills and sense of social responsibility.
