Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance students' moral understanding and behavior towards their parents through the Discovery Learning model at MAN Toli Toli. The study focuses on how the Discovery Learning approach can help students explore Islamic teachings on filial piety, develop positive attitudes, and apply these values in their interactions with their parents. The research was conducted over two cycles, utilizing pre- and post-tests, observations, and student reflections to collect data. The results revealed that the Discovery Learning model significantly improved students' understanding of the importance of honoring and respecting their parents in Islam. The model encouraged active engagement, where students were involved in searching for solutions, reflecting on their experiences, and discussing real-life examples of how to show respect and kindness to their parents. Furthermore, students reported a deeper commitment to improving their behavior towards their parents. The study concludes that Discovery Learning is an effective method for teaching moral values, particularly filial piety, and can foster positive behavioral changes in students, encouraging them to practice these values in everyday life
