Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) focuses on developing students' ethics in dressing through the inquiry-based learning approach at MI Al Ismail. The research aims to foster good character values, particularly related to dressing etiquette, among students. By implementing inquiry-based learning, students are encouraged to explore, question, and reflect on the significance of appropriate clothing in a school setting. This study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing observation, interviews, and reflective journals as primary data collection methods. The intervention was conducted in two cycles, where students actively participated in discussions and activities that emphasized the moral and cultural aspects of dressing. The results showed an increase in students' awareness and understanding of proper dress codes, aligning with Islamic values and the school's vision. This research contributes to the implementation of inquiry-based learning in character education, particularly in shaping students' ethical behavior in their daily lives. It also demonstrates the potential of this approach in promoting values-based learning in religious schools.
