Abstract
This study aims to analyze the various factors causing and impacting broken homes on child development, particularly those fostered at the Mother Sharing Movement Orphanage. The method used is a literature review, which examines the results of previous relevant research related to the phenomenon of broken homes, its causes, and its impact on children's psychological, social, and spiritual well-being. The results indicate that the main causes of broken homes include economic factors, household disharmony, lack of parental responsibility, and domestic violence (KDRT). The resulting impacts include emotional disturbances, decreased academic achievement, deviant social behavior, and weak moral and spiritual values. Efforts to foster children in orphanages involve psychological, social, and spiritual approaches so they can overcome past trauma and regain a positive outlook on life.
