Abstract
This classroom action research aims to improve the fine motor skills of early childhood students through mosaic sticking activities using Hijaiyah letters at RA Nahdlatul Ulama. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects were 15 children aged 4–5 years in Group A. The activity involved children sticking colored paper pieces onto patterns of Hijaiyah letters to encourage finger coordination, hand control, and visual focus. Data collection techniques included observation sheets, performance assessments, and documentation. The results showed a significant improvement in children’s fine motor abilities. In the first cycle, only 47% of children met the success criteria. However, after refinement of the media and guidance techniques, the second cycle showed an increase to 87%. Children became more focused, patient, and showed better control in using their fingers to place mosaic pieces accurately. This activity also indirectly introduced early literacy in Islamic education through fun and creative means. The study concludes that Hijaiyah letter mosaic sticking is an effective and enjoyable method to develop fine motor skills in early childhood education, especially in integrating religious content with developmental goals.
