Abstract

This classroom action research aimed to optimize the use of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model to enhance students' understanding of worship practices in Fikih subjects through the creation of simulation media. Conducted at MI Ma'arif Lebak 2, this study focused on fifth-grade students who often experienced difficulties in grasping practical worship concepts. The research was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through observations, field notes, and tests. The results showed a significant improvement in students' comprehension and participation. Students demonstrated higher enthusiasm, collaboration, and creativity when they were actively involved in designing worship simulation projects, such as mini prayer areas and visual posters for ablution steps. This method not only deepened their understanding but also made learning more meaningful and enjoyable. The integration of project-based activities into the Fikih learning process successfully bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-life practice. Therefore, it is recommended that PjBL be continuously applied and developed in Islamic education to foster critical thinking and active engagement among elementary students.
