Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of the storytelling method to enhance creativity and speaking skills in children at RA Nurul Hidayah. Storytelling is an effective method for promoting language development, as it allows children to express their thoughts, emotions, and creativity while engaging in an interactive and enjoyable activity. In this research, storytelling sessions were integrated into the classroom to help children improve their vocabulary, sentence construction, and confidence in speaking. Data was collected through observations, interviews with teachers, and assessments of children's speaking abilities before and after the intervention. The results indicate a significant improvement in children's creativity and speaking skills, as they became more confident in expressing themselves and using language to tell stories. The children also demonstrated an increased ability to create and organize narratives, which contributed to their overall language development. This research concludes that storytelling is an effective method for fostering creativity and enhancing speaking skills in early childhood education settings, providing a fun and engaging way to support language development.
