Abstract
This classroom action research aims to improve students’ ability to perform obligatory prayers (salat fardu) through the implementation of the demonstration learning model. The study was conducted in Class V of MIS Hidayatul Mubtadiin and involved two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research was motivated by initial observations showing that many students lacked proper understanding and practice of salat movements and recitations. The demonstration method was chosen to provide direct examples, allowing students to observe, imitate, and practice the correct procedures. Data were collected through observation sheets, performance assessments, and student interviews. The results showed significant improvement in students’ skills and confidence in performing salat after the application of the demonstration model. Students were more attentive, actively asked questions, and engaged in the learning process. By the end of the second cycle, most students were able to perform the salat movements in the correct order and recite the required prayers accurately. The findings suggest that the demonstration method is effective in enhancing students’ understanding and practical skills in Fikih, particularly for procedural religious practices like salat. It is recommended for broader application in Islamic education
