Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to implement an active learning approach to enhance the understanding and application of noble character values (Akhlak Mulia) among sixth-grade students at MIS Al Ma'arif Lamungan. The study addresses the challenge of teaching Akidah Akhlak in a way that not only fosters cognitive understanding but also encourages students to internalize and practice Islamic ethical principles in their daily lives.


The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Active learning strategies such as role-playing, group discussions, and case studies were employed to stimulate student engagement and promote deeper learning. Data were collected through pre- and post-tests, classroom observations, and interviews with both students and teachers.


The findings are expected to demonstrate significant improvement in students’ comprehension and practice of noble character values, as reflected in their academic assessments and observable behaviors. This research underscores the effectiveness of interactive and student-centered approaches in teaching Akidah Akhlak, contributing to the development of more impactful instructional strategies within Islamic education. It suggests that active learning can be a valuable tool in fostering the internalization and real-life application of ethical teachings among students.
