Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance students' understanding of moral behavior (akhlak) towards non-Muslims through contextual learning at SD IT Andalusia Tapan. The study explores how contextual learning can be applied to teach students about Islamic ethical values in their interactions with non-Muslims in a diverse society. The research utilizes various methods, including group discussions, case studies, and role-playing, to encourage students to apply ethical principles in real-life scenarios. The study is conducted in two cycles, with data collected through observation, interviews, and student assessments. Results from the first cycle indicate that students' awareness of Islamic akhlak towards non-Muslims has improved, but further development is needed. In the second cycle, the contextual approach was further refined, leading to more meaningful engagement and better understanding of the subject matter. This research highlights the importance of integrating contextual learning strategies to help students better understand Islamic ethics in daily interactions with people from different backgrounds. The findings suggest that by applying contextual learning, students can better internalize ethical values and practice them in their social environments.
