Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance students' understanding of the importance of Akhlak (morality) in seeking knowledge through thematic learning at SDIT Izzatul Qur'an. The study focuses on developing students' character by integrating moral values related to acquiring knowledge in an Islamic context. The research is conducted in two cycles, following the steps of planning, action, observation, and reflection. During each cycle, students are exposed to thematic learning activities that combine various subjects around the central theme of Akhlak in the pursuit of knowledge. Data is collected through observations, student reflections, and interviews. The results indicate a significant improvement in students’ understanding of Akhlak in their educational journey. Students showed increased awareness of the Islamic teachings about the noble qualities needed in acquiring knowledge, such as humility, sincerity, and perseverance. Additionally, students actively participated in class discussions and demonstrated better attitudes toward their studies. This study suggests that thematic learning is an effective approach in embedding moral values in students, especially in the context of Islamic education. It highlights the role of educators in fostering a character-building environment that encourages both intellectual and moral development.
