Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to optimize play-based learning to enhance the motor skills of children at KB Al-Mirza. The research was conducted in two cycles, focusing on the implementation of play activities that target both fine and gross motor development. Data was collected through direct observation, interviews with teachers, and assessments of children's motor skills before and after the intervention. The results showed that play-based learning significantly improved children's coordination, balance, and fine motor skills such as hand-eye coordination. Activities such as building blocks, ball games, and interactive movement exercises were particularly effective in encouraging physical activity while also fostering social and emotional development. This study highlights the importance of play as a fundamental method for developing motor skills in early childhood education. The findings suggest that incorporating more play-oriented activities into the curriculum can enhance not only physical abilities but also cognitive and social-emotional growth. Based on the research, it is concluded that optimizing play-based learning is a highly effective strategy for improving children's motor skills and overall development at KB Al-Mirza.
