Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve the understanding of Akidah Akhlak (Faith and Morality) among 21 students at MIN 1 Bandung Barat. The study focuses on the implementation of a storytelling-based learning method to enhance students' comprehension of Islamic values and moral principles. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. In each cycle, students were engaged in listening to stories about the lives of prophets and Islamic heroes, followed by discussions to reinforce the lessons about faith and ethics. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and student assessments. The results of this study indicate a significant improvement in students' understanding of Akidah Akhlak, as evidenced by increased participation in class discussions and better performance in assessments related to moral and religious values. This research suggests that storytelling can be an effective method to teach Akidah Akhlak in elementary school settings, fostering a deeper connection to Islamic teachings and moral behaviors in students.
