Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance students' understanding of Integrated Science (IPAS) at MI Al-Hasanah by implementing a scientific approach to learning. The research addresses challenges faced by students in comprehending scientific concepts, particularly in connecting theoretical knowledge with real-world applications. The scientific approach, which encourages inquiry, experimentation, and critical thinking, is expected to improve students' engagement and understanding of IPAS. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through classroom observations, student assessments, and interviews. The findings indicate that the scientific approach significantly improved students' motivation and comprehension of IPAS. Students became more involved in the learning process and were able to apply scientific concepts to everyday situations. This research demonstrates the effectiveness of integrating a scientific approach in teaching IPAS, as it fosters a deeper understanding of science and develops students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The study provides valuable insights for educators seeking to enhance the quality of science education in elementary schools.
