Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve the understanding of Akidah Akhlak among students of MI Miftahul Ulum by implementing active learning strategies. The main challenge identified is the lack of student engagement and difficulty in applying moral and theological concepts in daily life. The study is conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Active learning methods, including discussions, role-playing, and case studies, are applied to foster deeper engagement and understanding. Data is collected through observations, quizzes, and reflective journals to assess students' comprehension and behavior changes. Results indicate that students show significant improvement in both their understanding of Akidah Akhlak concepts and their ability to apply these teachings in real-life situations. The active learning approach also promotes critical thinking, collaboration, and better moral reasoning among students. This research highlights the importance of interactive and student-centered approaches in enhancing the quality of religious education, particularly in fostering strong moral and spiritual foundations in young learners.
