Abstract





This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance students' understanding of Fiqh at MTs. Al Ihya by implementing the cooperative learning model. The main issue identified was students' limited ability to apply Fiqh principles in daily religious practices, such as prayer, fasting, and zakat. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The cooperative learning model was chosen to encourage active student participation, peer collaboration, and practical application of the learned concepts. Data were collected through observations, quizzes, and practical assessments to measure students' comprehension and behavior change. The results showed a significant improvement in students' ability to understand and practice Fiqh principles, with greater engagement in classroom activities. The cooperative approach allowed students to collaborate, solve problems together, and reinforce their learning through peer interaction. This research highlights the effectiveness of cooperative learning in improving Fiqh understanding and application, providing a student-centered approach to religious education in middle school.
