Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve students' understanding of "Iman Kepada Allah" (Faith in Allah) at SDN 03 Kampung Nan 6 by implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. The primary issue identified was the lack of deep understanding and the practical application of religious concepts, particularly the concept of faith in Allah, in students' everyday lives. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The PBL model was chosen as it encourages students to actively engage with real-world problems, fostering critical thinking and collaboration while allowing them to connect their religious learning with real-life situations. Data was collected through observations, quizzes, and reflective journals to assess the students' comprehension and changes in behavior. The findings suggest that PBL significantly enhances students' understanding of the concept of faith in Allah and strengthens their ability to apply this knowledge in their actions and decisions. This research highlights the effectiveness of using PBL in religious education to create a more meaningful and engaging learning experience for students.
