Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve students' understanding of Akhlak towards parents at MTs Al Ittihadiyah through the implementation of a contextual learning model. The main issue identified is the lack of student engagement and understanding in applying Islamic values related to Akhlak towards parents in daily life. This research is conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The contextual learning model is chosen because it allows students to connect the lessons of Akhlak with their real-life experiences, particularly in the context of their relationships with their parents. Data are collected through observations, reflective journals, and assessments of students' behaviors towards their parents to measure changes in their attitudes. The findings show a significant improvement in students' understanding and practice of Akhlak towards their parents. The contextual approach encourages active involvement, deepens emotional connections, and reinforces moral values in students' everyday lives. This research highlights the effectiveness of contextual learning in enhancing students' moral understanding and behavior, contributing to the development of positive character traits in adolescents.
