Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance the Indonesian language skills of third-grade students at MIN 1 Karangasem through interactive storytelling activities. The primary objective of this study is to investigate how storytelling can improve students' reading comprehension, vocabulary acquisition, and language expression in the Indonesian language. The research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. In each cycle, the students were engaged in interactive storytelling sessions where they listened to stories, discussed their content, and performed activities related to the stories. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and assessments of students' language performance. The findings indicate that storytelling activities significantly improved the students' language skills, especially in terms of vocabulary, comprehension, and speaking ability. The study concludes that using storytelling as an instructional strategy is effective in fostering a more engaging and interactive learning environment in language education. It is recommended that teachers in MIN 1 Karangasem continue to implement storytelling in their teaching practices to further develop students' Indonesian language proficiency.
