Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance students' understanding of Aqidah Akhlak at MTs Raudhatul 'Ulum through Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach. The objective of this study is to investigate how PBL can improve students' comprehension of Islamic creed and moral teachings by engaging them in real-world problems and scenarios related to Aqidah Akhlak. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. During each cycle, students worked collaboratively to solve problems that involved applying Aqidah Akhlak concepts to everyday life situations. Data was collected through classroom observations, student assessments, and reflections from both students and teachers. The findings suggest that PBL significantly enhanced students' understanding of Aqidah Akhlak by fostering critical thinking, discussion, and the application of moral values in practical contexts. Students became more actively engaged in the learning process and demonstrated improved retention and application of the concepts. This study indicates that using the PBL approach in Aqidah Akhlak teaching creates an interactive and student-centered learning environment, encouraging students to internalize Islamic values. It is recommended that MTs Raudhatul 'Ulum continue to implement PBL to further improve students' knowledge and character development in Islamic studies.
