Main Article Content
Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance students' understanding of the Hajj rituals at MAS DDI Polewali Mandar through interactive learning strategies. The primary objective is to explore how interactive and student-centered activities, such as group discussions, role-playing, and video-based learning, can help students grasp the significance, steps, and spiritual meanings of Hajj. The study was conducted over two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. During each cycle, students participated in various hands-on activities designed to make the learning process more engaging and to deepen their understanding of Hajj. Data were collected through classroom observations, student assessments, and feedback from both students and teachers. The findings indicate that interactive learning significantly improved students’ comprehension of the Hajj rituals, as it encouraged active participation, fostered critical thinking, and provided a deeper connection to the spiritual and cultural aspects of the pilgrimage. Students demonstrated greater enthusiasm and a clearer understanding of the steps and meanings of Hajj. This study suggests that interactive learning strategies can offer a more effective and engaging way to teach religious rituals, particularly in helping students understand complex religious practices like Hajj. It is recommended that MAS DDI Polewali Mandar continue to incorporate these strategies to enhance religious education.
