Enhancing Story Writing Skills Through Picture-Based Prompts: A Classroom Action Research at MIS Azzuhriyah NW Kelayu Utara

Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve students' story writing skills by using picture-based prompts at MIS Azzuhriyah NW Kelayu Utara. The study focuses on enhancing students' ability to create coherent and imaginative stories through visual stimuli. The research is conducted in two cycles, with each cycle involving planning, action, observation, and reflection. The students are encouraged to write stories based on pictures, which serve as a source of inspiration and structure for their narratives. The findings indicate that the use of picture-based prompts significantly improves students' creativity, vocabulary, and writing fluency. Additionally, it enhances their engagement in the writing process and boosts their confidence in expressing ideas. Data collection methods include observation, student reflections, and analysis of students' written works. The results show a positive development in students' writing abilities, with an increase in their ability to organize ideas logically and express them more clearly. This study highlights the effectiveness of visual stimuli in promoting writing skills among elementary students.
