Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve students' understanding of fasting practices (Ibadah Puasa) through the lecturing method at MI Hidayatullah NW Kebun Bat. The study is conducted in two cycles, with each cycle involving planning, action, observation, and reflection. The lecturing method is chosen as the primary teaching strategy to convey the religious and practical aspects of fasting during the holy month of Ramadan. During the first cycle, students' prior knowledge about fasting is assessed, and the teacher delivers structured lectures focused on the significance, rules, and benefits of fasting. In the second cycle, additional interactive elements are incorporated to engage students more actively in the learning process. Data is collected through observations, student reflections, and pre- and post-tests to assess the improvement in students' understanding. The findings suggest that the lecturing method significantly enhances students' comprehension of fasting practices, with notable improvements in their ability to explain the religious, health, and social dimensions of fasting. This research demonstrates that the lecturing method, when combined with engaging discussions, can effectively promote students' learning about religious practices in a structured classroom setting.
