Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of the Integrative Thematic Learning model in enhancing students' understanding of Fiqh at MIS Yakti Girirejo Tegalrejo Magelang. Using a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, the research was conducted over two cycles, each consisting of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The study involved fifth-grade students and focused on integrating Fiqh with other subjects in a thematic approach to create a more holistic learning experience. Data were collected through pre-tests, post-tests, classroom observations, and student feedback. The findings revealed that the Integrative Thematic Learning model significantly improved students' understanding of Fiqh by connecting the subject matter with real-life situations and other disciplines. Students showed increased engagement, motivation, and the ability to apply Fiqh principles in everyday contexts. Furthermore, the thematic integration helped students see the relevance of Islamic teachings across various aspects of their lives. This research highlights the potential of using an integrative approach to foster deeper understanding and meaningful learning in religious education, particularly in Fiqh.
