Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance Indonesian language skills among students at MIS Ainun Sahab through Task-Based Learning (TBL). The study is implemented in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Task-Based Learning is chosen because it encourages active participation, critical thinking, and practical application of language skills in real-life contexts. During the first cycle, students engage in language tasks such as creating short stories, conducting simple conversations, and writing descriptive texts, which are designed to improve their speaking, writing, and reading skills. In the second cycle, more complex tasks are introduced to further challenge the students’ abilities. Data is collected through observation, student performance tasks, and reflection sheets to assess the development of their language skills. The results show a significant improvement in students' engagement, language fluency, and their ability to use Indonesian in various contexts. This research demonstrates that Task-Based Learning can effectively support language acquisition by providing students with meaningful, real-world tasks that promote language use beyond the classroom.
