Abstract
This study aims to enhance early childhood learning at RA Perwanida Tawangrejo by implementing interactive and play-based approaches. Early childhood education is crucial for the development of foundational skills, including cognitive, social, and emotional growth. At RA Perwanida Tawangrejo, traditional teaching methods have often relied on passive learning, where children are recipients of information rather than active participants. This study explores the use of interactive and play-based learning techniques to increase student engagement and foster a deeper understanding of the material. The research uses a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, conducted over two cycles with a focus on children aged 4-6 years. Data were collected through observations, teacher and student feedback, and developmental assessments. The findings indicate that the implementation of interactive, play-based learning strategies significantly improved students' motivation, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. The children became more engaged in classroom activities, worked well in groups, and showed greater enthusiasm in learning tasks. Moreover, the study revealed that these approaches promoted creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking in young learners. Teachers reported a positive shift in the classroom dynamics, where students took a more active role in their learning. This study concludes that interactive and play-based learning methods are highly effective in enhancing early childhood education at RA Perwanida Tawangrejo. By integrating these methods into the curriculum, teachers can create a more dynamic, supportive, and engaging learning environment, better preparing young children for future academic success.
