Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of a Task-Based Learning (TBL) model in improving Indonesian language skills among students at MI Daarul Muqimien. The focus is on how this instructional model can enhance students' proficiency in understanding and using Bahasa Indonesia effectively in both written and spoken forms. The research uses a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design to assess the impact of task-based learning on students' learning outcomes and engagement. The study is conducted in two cycles, where each cycle involves planning, action, observation, and reflection. The tasks designed in the study aim to provide students with meaningful, real-life contexts that encourage communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving in Bahasa Indonesia.

The findings indicate that the TBL model successfully motivates students to engage more actively in the learning process. Students become more confident in expressing themselves in Bahasa Indonesia, and their overall language skills improve, particularly in vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structure. Moreover, the task-based approach allows students to work collaboratively, fostering teamwork and communication skills. Teachers also report a positive shift in classroom dynamics, as students take more responsibility for their learning.

In conclusion, the Task-Based Learning model proves to be an effective strategy for enhancing Indonesian language skills at MI Daarul Muqimien. This approach not only improves language proficiency but also encourages student-centered learning, making it a valuable method for future language instruction in primary education.
