Main Article Content
Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) explores the implementation of the Task-Based Learning (TBL) model in enhancing the understanding and engagement of students in Quranic and Hadith studies at MTs Assyafiiyah NW Penangsak. The primary goal of this study is to investigate how task-based learning, which focuses on real-life tasks and student-centered activities, can improve students' comprehension, retention, and practical application of Islamic texts. The research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection to assess the effectiveness of the TBL model.
In the first cycle, students were given specific tasks related to the Quran and Hadith, such as analyzing verses, interpreting their meanings, and applying the teachings in everyday contexts. These tasks were designed to encourage students to take an active role in their learning process, working individually and in groups to complete the assignments. Observations during the cycle indicated that students became more engaged and motivated, showing a deeper understanding of the material. However, some students struggled with time management and needed further guidance in completing their tasks effectively.
Based on the reflections from cycle one, adjustments were made for the second cycle, including clearer task instructions, additional resources, and more time for group collaboration. The improvements led to a significant increase in students' comprehension and their ability to relate Quranic and Hadith teachings to their daily lives. The results suggest that Task-Based Learning is an effective approach to enhance the learning experience in Quranic and Hadith studies, fostering deeper understanding and better application of Islamic teachings.
