Enhancing Quranic and Hadith Understanding through Cooperative Learning at MA Daarus Salam Bantur: A Classroom Action Research
Main Article Content
Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) investigates the implementation of the Cooperative Learning model to enhance students' understanding of the Quran and Hadith at MA Daarus Salam Bantur. The primary objective of this study is to explore how cooperative learning, which promotes student collaboration and peer interaction, can improve students' comprehension, engagement, and application of Quranic and Hadith teachings. The research was conducted in two cycles, each involving planning, action, observation, and reflection to assess the effectiveness of the model in increasing student learning outcomes.
In the first cycle, students were divided into small groups and assigned tasks related to Quranic verses and Hadiths. Each group collaborated to analyze the material, share interpretations, and apply the teachings to real-life situations. Observations during the cycle revealed that students became more engaged and demonstrated improved communication and critical thinking skills. However, some students initially struggled with the group dynamics and the level of responsibility required in cooperative tasks.
Based on the reflection from cycle one, adjustments were made for the second cycle, such as clearer task instructions, more structured group roles, and additional guidance for students on how to collaborate effectively. These modifications led to improved group cohesion and better student participation. By the end of the second cycle, students showed a deeper understanding of the Quran and Hadith, along with enhanced skills in collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
The findings suggest that the Cooperative Learning model is an effective approach to teaching Quran and Hadith, fostering a more interactive, engaging, and meaningful learning environment.
