Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve the Indonesian language skills of students at MIS DDI Lipu Majene by implementing Cooperative Learning methods. The research focuses on enhancing the students' proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing through collaborative group work, where students actively engage in problem-solving, discussion, and peer-to-peer teaching. Cooperative Learning emphasizes social interaction, shared responsibility, and positive interdependence among students, which is expected to create an effective and engaging learning environment.

The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection phases. In the planning phase, the teacher designed lesson plans that integrated Cooperative Learning strategies. During the action phase, students were divided into small groups and worked together on language tasks. The observation phase focused on monitoring students' participation and performance, while the reflection phase involved analyzing the results to determine the effectiveness of the method and make adjustments for the next cycle.

The findings indicate that Cooperative Learning significantly improved students' Indonesian language skills. Students showed increased motivation, collaboration, and communication within their groups. Moreover, their language competencies in various aspects, including vocabulary, grammar, and sentence construction, also showed noticeable improvements. The research demonstrates that Cooperative Learning is a practical and effective approach to enhance Indonesian language acquisition in primary school settings, particularly in rural areas such as Lipu Majene.
