Enhancing Early Childhood Learning through Innovative Teaching Strategies at RA Qurrota A'yuni: A Classroom Action Research

Abstract





This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve early childhood learning at RA Qurrota A'yuni by implementing innovative teaching strategies that enhance student engagement, cognitive development, and social-emotional skills. The study focuses on the effectiveness of interactive and student-centered approaches in fostering a more engaging and meaningful learning experience for young children. The research was conducted with a group of 20 preschool students, and the data were collected through classroom observations, teacher reflections, student assessments, and interviews with both students and teachers. The research was carried out in two cycles, following the action research model of planning, action, observation, and reflection to ensure ongoing improvement in teaching practices and student outcomes.


The findings indicate that the use of innovative teaching strategies, such as play-based learning, storytelling, and hands-on activities, significantly increased student participation and enthusiasm. These methods helped children better grasp new concepts and improved their problem-solving and social interaction skills. The study also revealed that students showed more confidence in expressing themselves and collaborating with peers. The teacher's role as a facilitator was crucial in guiding the children through these interactive experiences and ensuring that the learning environment was both stimulating and nurturing.


In conclusion, the research highlights the positive impact of innovative teaching strategies in early childhood education at RA Qurrota A'yuni. These strategies not only enhance cognitive and social development but also create a more enjoyable and dynamic learning environment for young children. The study recommends that these strategies be further integrated into the curriculum to support the growth and development of early learners.
